Play in the Kettering Wednesday You Play Netball League

Another enjoyable evening of netball took place in the Kettering Wednesday You Play Netball League, with players coming together for a night of matches as part of the Back to Netball programme. The league continues to provide a welcoming environment where players can stay active, improve their skills, and enjoy competitive netball in a social setting.

Teams in the League division once again demonstrated great teamwork and commitment throughout the evening. Net Profits, Hustlers, NET2HOLIDAYS, Court In The Act, Netspressos, Hoop Troopers, One Hoop Wonders, Ghostbusters, The Vixens, and Wingin It all took to the court, contributing to another successful session of netball.

The standard of play remained high across the division, with teams working hard in both attack and defence. Players showed good communication, movement, and determination throughout the evening, creating a number of competitive and entertaining contests.

The Vixens recorded the highest score of the night with an impressive 19 goals. Their strong attacking performance helped them stand out during the session, although there were positive contributions and strong displays from teams across the division.

A special congratulations goes to Jodie Carlisle of The Vixens, who was named Player of the Session. Jodie was recognised for her positive attitude, effort on court, and encouragement of her teammates. Her contribution throughout the evening reflected the supportive atmosphere that continues to make the league such an enjoyable place to play.

One of the key strengths of the Kettering Wednesday You Play Netball League is the balance between friendly competition and player development. Whether participants are returning to the sport after a break or playing regularly each week, the league offers an opportunity to build confidence, improve fitness, and enjoy being part of a team.

The Back to Netball programme continues to grow in popularity, helping players reconnect with the sport while creating a welcoming community on and off the court. Sessions like this highlight the positive impact netball can have, bringing people together through regular activity and shared enjoyment of the game.
