The Didcot Thursday Netball league got the new season off to a fantastic start this week, with plenty of great teamwork, close matches, and impressive performances across the League Division. Spectators were treated to an exciting evening of netball as teams settled into the new season.
Ball Slappers and Netspresso Martinis opened the night with a closely contested game, with Ball Slappers coming away with an 11-6 win. Both teams showed great energy and teamwork, setting a positive tone for the weeks ahead.
One of the standout matches of the evening saw Court Queens edge past Midas Touch in a thrilling 11-10 game. Midas Touch can take plenty of positives from a strong performance, with the match highlighting the talent and determination on display throughout the league.
A special mention goes to Tegan Pratley of Midas Touch, who was named Most Valued Player of the week in recognition of her excellent performance and contribution on court.
With such a strong opening week, the season is shaping up to be full of enjoyable, competitive, and entertaining netball. Supporters can look forward to more exciting matches as Netspresso Martinis, Ball Slappers, Midas Touch, and Court Queens continue their campaigns in the weeks ahead.
