Week 6 of the Didcot Thursday Netball League brought another enjoyable evening of matches, with the League division showcasing plenty of effort, teamwork, and competitive spirit across the court.
The night began with Hoop Troops facing Court Queens in a closely fought contest. Both teams worked hard from the first centre pass, with some great passages of play and strong defensive pressure at both ends. Hoop Troops just edged it in the end with an 11–9 win, but it was a well-matched game that could have gone either way and set a great tone for the rest of the evening.
Next up, Midas Touch delivered a confident performance against Ball Slappers, coming away with a 14–4 result. They moved the ball smoothly through the court and made good use of their shooting opportunities. Ball Slappers kept battling throughout, showing determination and continuing to support each other as they looked to build momentum. A standout moment of the evening came from Midas Touch’s Odeth Dawkins, who was named Player of the Week for her excellent all-round performance and impact on the game.
In the final match, Netspresso Martinis took on Enchanted and produced a strong display, securing a 9–0 win. Their defensive work and ability to maintain possession made a real difference, while Enchanted continued to work hard and showed resilience as they looked for opportunities to break through.
Overall, it was another positive week of netball, with every team showing commitment, teamwork, and encouragement for one another regardless of the scorelines. As the league heads into Week 7, it’s great to see players continuing to develop, support their teammates, and enjoy their time on court.
