The first game of the night saw Netbusters take on All About That Pass in a well-matched contest. Netbusters came away with a 9β6 win, but both sides showed good organisation and effort throughout. Liah Carroll from All About That Pass stood out for her performance and was deservedly named player of the week, contributing consistently across the court.
In the next fixture, Hit Me With Your Best Shot secured a 10β1 result against No Regrets Just Nets. The team maintained steady control of the game and made the most of their scoring opportunities, while No Regrets Just Nets continued to work hard and look for openings.
The final match of the evening featured Interceptors against Shooting Stars. Shooting Stars delivered a strong attacking performance to claim a 16β5 victory, showing good movement and communication throughout the game.
Across all matches, there was a positive atmosphere, with players demonstrating teamwork, determination and a good level of sportsmanship. As always, teams are reminded that this is a fun and friendly league, and respect for the umpires and their decisions is an important part of the game, helping to ensure matches are enjoyed by everyone involved.
Each team continues to develop as the weeks go on, and itβs encouraging to see the effort being put in across the league.
As the season progresses, the league table will continue to take shape, with teams aiming to build consistency and improve their standings. With several weeks still to play, there is plenty of time for teams to gain momentum and finish strongly.
We look forward to seeing how the competition develops in the coming weeks, with more matches set to provide another evening of enjoyable netball.
