Blackburn Monday Social Netball news 2026-06-15
The Blackburn Leisure Centre was buzzing with excitement as the first week of the new social netball season kicked off. Players gathered on the court to enjoy a fantastic night of netball filled with fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
As we look forward to Week 2, we welcome everyone back to the Blackburn Leisure Centre for another evening of friendly social netball. It's not about winning or losing, but about keeping active, meeting new people, and developing your netball skills in a supportive and fun-filled environment.
A few reminders:
Remember to follow your fixtures each week on our website and ensure that you arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your start time.
Don't forget to confirm your player availability as soon as possible! If you are struggling for players, we can help put some new players into your team, but you can also post out onto the Facebook Page. This will give you access to all the players in the league if you need subs for the odd week. If you haven't joined already, please do.
Please ensure that nails are kept short (below your fingertips), or that you are wearing gloves! All jewellery needs to be removed prior to playing- any piercings etc. that can't be removed need to be taped up. Certain Fitbit watches are acceptable (they tend to be the ones with the rubber straps that include the watch face) however some apple watches that are raised are not. If you are asked by the umpire to remove an item of jewellery remember this is for your own safety and others, and we'd expect all players to adhere to this.
Ensure appropriate footwear is worn- any kind of sports trainers are fine.
