Sports fans were treated to a thrilling week of netball competition, as Week 7 of the Bridgend Sunday league events unfolded. The participating teams in Divisions 1 and 2 displayed exceptional prowess on the court, with some teams emerging victorious while others fell short in their bids for glory.
In Division 1, the Netball Ninjas clinched a dramatic one-point victory over Hoops I Did It Again, with a final score of 18-17. In spite of the Hoops I Did It Again's spirited fight, the Ninjas were able to maintain their stride and secure a win. Pink Ladies emerged as the top scorers of the division, outmatching Wangerz with a convincing score of 22-9. Meanwhile, All Sorts triumphed over Netty Betties 15-3, emphasizing their dominance in this week's games.
In Division 2, High Hoops soared above the Clover Catchers, with an impressive scoreline of 18-1. Caitlin Singer of High Hoops was the show stopper of the week, earning the accolade of the most valued player. Singer's performance was instrumental in High Hoops' victory, demonstrating her prowess and versatility on the court. Pink Panthers also had a successful game, toppling Cougars 18-8. However, the most closely contested match saw Baywatch Ballers narrowly defeat Nets Go 17-16.
These results have stirred up the competitive spirit in all the teams as they look forward to next week's matches. Whether it's Division 1 or Division 2, one thing is certain: the Bridgend Sunday Netball league is serving up a sporting spectacle guaranteed to keep fans on the edge of their seats
