Bridgnorth Tuesday Social Netball - End of Season

Play in the Bridgnorth Tuesday Netball League

Congratulations to Time To Shine, who were crowned champions of the Bridgnorth Tuesday Netball League this season. A huge well done also goes to runners-up River Splitters for an excellent campaign, and congratulations to Sophie Bullingham from Shoot, who was voted Most Valuable Player of the season.

Week 14 marked the final round of fixtures at Bridgnorth Endowed Leisure Centre, bringing another enjoyable evening of netball and bringing the season to a close.

The evening began with No Regrets Just Nets taking on Bridge The Gap. Both teams worked hard throughout the game, with Bridge The Gap producing a strong all-round performance to secure an 11-2 victory. Despite the result, No Regrets Just Nets continued to battle until the final whistle and showed great determination throughout the match.

One of the closest games of the evening saw River Splitters face Nets Go For A Beer. In a tightly contested match, River Splitters edged out their opponents by a single goal, winning 11-10. Both teams matched each other throughout the game, creating an entertaining contest that could have gone either way.

Shoot faced Nets Get Physical in another competitive fixture. Nets Get Physical made the most of their opportunities in attack and remained solid defensively to record a 14-5 victory. Both teams showed plenty of effort and commitment, contributing to an enjoyable game.

League champions Time To Shine completed their season with an 8-4 win over We Don't Give A Shot. Time To Shine have been one of the most consistent teams throughout the campaign and finished the season in style with another strong performance. We Don't Give A Shot continued to compete well and can take plenty of positives from their efforts.

This week's special mention goes to Louise Cowell from No Regrets Just Nets. Louise's work rate, movement around the court and positive attitude stood out during the evening's matches. Her contribution was recognised by both teammates and opponents, making her a deserving recipient of this week's recognition.

As another season comes to an end, we would like to thank every player, team, umpire and supporter who has been involved throughout the campaign. The league continues to provide a fantastic opportunity for players of all abilities to enjoy competitive netball, improve their skills and be part of a welcoming sporting community.

Congratulations once again to Time To Shine on winning the league title, to River Splitters for finishing as runners-up, and to Sophie Bullingham for being named Most Valuable Player. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting season of netball in Bridgnorth.
