Week 7 of the Burntwood Sunday Netball League saw another enjoyable evening of action at Burntwood Leisure Centre, with teams continuing to compete in a friendly and welcoming environment.
The evening began with Nets Go taking on A Little Rusty. Both teams demonstrated strong teamwork and commitment throughout the match, producing an entertaining contest and setting the tone for the night's fixtures.
Goal Diggers then faced Shoot For It in the second game of the evening. Both sides worked hard across the court, showing determination and good organisation throughout. The match was played in excellent spirits and reflected the positive atmosphere of the league.
The final fixture saw Burntwood 7's take on Bluebirds. Both teams approached the game with enthusiasm and energy, contributing to another enjoyable contest. Players showed great effort throughout the match, rounding off a successful evening of netball.
This week's Most Valued Player award goes to Darla Thompson from Goal Diggers. Darla delivered an excellent performance, demonstrating great movement, energy, and commitment throughout the evening. Her contribution was recognised by teammates and opponents alike, making her a deserving recipient of the award.
With Week 7 complete, teams will now turn their attention to the next round of fixtures as the season continues. The league remains a fantastic opportunity for players to stay active, improve their skills, and enjoy competitive netball in a supportive environment.
