Play in the Newport Wednesday You Play Netball League
Week ten of the Newport Wednesday netball league brought another evening of enjoyable and competitive matches, with teams demonstrating great teamwork, skill and determination throughout the night.
One of the standout matches saw Court Queens take on Ball Snatchers. Court Queens produced a strong performance across the court and secured a 20-7 win. Their teamwork and communication helped them build momentum during the game, while Ball Snatchers continued to show great effort throughout.
The Goalden Girls also enjoyed a positive result in their match against Irreplaceaballs, winning 7-4 in a closely contested game. Both teams battled hard from start to finish, but Goalden Girls managed to edge ahead. Rebecca Lewis played a key role in the match and was later named the most valued player of the week for her excellent performance.
Another entertaining fixture saw Jump! Jump! face Block It Like Its Hot. It proved to be a very competitive game, with both teams creating chances and working hard defensively. Jump! Jump! eventually secured a narrow 8-6 win in a closely fought contest.
FireBallz also delivered a confident performance against Caught Offside, earning an 11-3 victory. Strong teamwork and consistent play helped FireBallz maintain control of the game.
With another week of matches completed, the Newport Wednesday netball league continues to provide great competition and plenty of enjoyable netball. Teams are building momentum as the season progresses, and there are sure to be many more exciting games ahead.
A special mention goes to Rebecca Lewis from Goalden Girls, who was named Most Valued Player of the week for her outstanding effort and contribution on court.
