Play in the Newport Wednesday Netball League

The Newport Wednesday League enjoyed another exciting round of fixtures as the season reached its 11th week, with teams continuing to show great teamwork and effort on court.

The League saw some strong performances, with players showcasing their skills in a series of closely fought matches. Irreplaceaballs put in a great performance to secure a 10-7 win against Block It Like Its Hot in an enjoyable and competitive game.

Jump! Jump! and FireBallz played out a well-balanced match, finishing 8-8. Both teams showed determination throughout, reflecting the competitive but positive spirit across the league.

Ball Snatchers delivered a solid defensive display to earn a 4-1 win over Caught Offside, while Court Queens had a strong game against Goalden Girls, finishing 16-7 in what proved to be a high-scoring fixture.

This week also saw Poppy Crabb of Goalden Girls recognised as the most valuable player. Despite the result, her performance stood out, showing great determination and skill throughout the match.

As the League moves into week 12, teams will be looking to build on their performances and continue enjoying competitive and friendly matches each week. The Newport Wednesday League is shaping up nicely, with plenty more action still to come.
