Play in the Newport Wednesday netball league
As the Newport Wednesday netball league reached week 12, it was another enjoyable round of matches, with just two weeks remaining in the season. Teams continued to show great effort and teamwork across the league.
Court Queens put in a strong performance to secure a 21–4 win over Caught Offside. Their organisation and teamwork helped them control the game, while Caught Offside continued to show determination throughout.
Goalden Girls also had a positive result, earning a 12–3 win against FireBallz. Their consistency and teamwork were clear, although FireBallz kept working hard and supported each other well across the match.
Block It Like Its Hot recorded a 9–3 win over Ball Snatchers in a well-contested game. Both teams showed good effort, with plenty of positive play on display.
Irreplaceaballs delivered another strong performance, coming away with a 20–3 win against Jump! Jump!, showing good coordination and confidence on court.
This week’s most valued player was Julia Hiller from Ball Snatchers. Despite the result, Julia’s performance stood out, and her effort and attitude made a real difference for her team.
With only two weeks left, teams will be looking to finish the season strongly and continue building on their performances. It’s been great to see the positive atmosphere and commitment from everyone involved.
