Play in the Newport Wednesday You Play Netball League

Week two of the Newport Wednesday netball league brought another enjoyable round of fixtures, with teams continuing to build momentum and settle into the season.

Goalden Girls put in a strong performance to earn a 10–3 win over Ball Snatchers, showing good consistency across the court. Despite the result, Ball Snatchers’ Niki Lloyd stood out and was named Most Valued Player of the week, recognised for her effort and determination throughout the match.

Court Queens also had a successful game, recording a 25–1 win against Block It Like It’s Hot. Their organised play at both ends of the court helped them maintain control throughout.

Irreplaceaballs followed up with a solid 13–2 victory over FireBallz, demonstrating good teamwork and communication to guide them through the match.

The closest game of the evening saw Jump! Jump! take on Caught Offside in a well-contested fixture. Both teams showed some great passages of play, with Caught Offside coming away with a 17–13 win.

As the league moves into week three, teams will be looking to continue improving and building on their performances. It’s shaping up to be an enjoyable and competitive season for everyone involved.
