Play in the Bury Tuesday Netball League

Congratulations to Goal Diggers, who finished the season as champions, and to runners-up No Shot Sherlock after another competitive and enjoyable campaign in the Bury League.

Week 14 marked the final round of fixtures, bringing an exciting season to a close. As always, teams took to the court with plenty of enthusiasm, producing a great evening of netball that showcased both competitive spirit and excellent sportsmanship.

The League fixtures provided plenty of entertainment throughout the evening. On The Rebound and Block It Like It's Hot! played out a closely fought contest, with both teams moving the ball well and creating chances at either end. Hoops! We Did It Again and Bury The Defence also put in strong performances, demonstrating the teamwork and determination that have been evident throughout the season.

Goal Diggers entered the evening looking to finish their title-winning campaign on a high and once again showed why they have been one of the standout teams this season. Their consistency, teamwork and ability to perform under pressure have helped them secure top spot in the standings and deservedly claim the league title.

Meanwhile, No Shot Sherlock capped off an impressive season by securing a 7-4 victory over Net Set Go!. Their runners-up finish is a reward for a season filled with strong performances and competitive displays, and they pushed the champions all the way during the campaign.

St Michaels also continued to show great commitment and positivity on court, contributing to another enjoyable evening of netball. Every team played their part in making the final night a success, with players displaying great effort, encouragement and respect for their opponents.

While league positions and results are always important, the Bury Tuesday League is first and foremost a fun Back to Netball league. The aim is to provide a welcoming environment where players of all abilities can enjoy the game, improve their skills and socialise with others. Competitive matches are part of what makes the league enjoyable, but they should always be played in the right spirit. Players, spectators and supporters are reminded to show respect to officials, opponents and fellow participants at all times. Positive encouragement and good sportsmanship help ensure that everyone enjoys their evening and that the league remains a friendly and inclusive place for all.

As the season comes to an end, congratulations go to Goal Diggers on becoming league champions and to No Shot Sherlock for securing second place. Thank you also to every player and team who has taken part this season. Your enthusiasm, commitment and sportsmanship have helped create a fantastic league environment week after week.
