Neath Tuesday Netball Update - Week 8

Another enjoyable evening of netball took place at Cefn Saeson Comprehensive School for Week 8 of the Neath Tuesday Netball League, with plenty of teamwork, encouragement, and great games across both divisions.

In Division 1, Socket Shifters and Pulse Chasers played out a close game, with Pulse Chasers finishing 8-6 winners after a well-fought match from both teams. Nets Get Physical and Hoops I Did It Again also shared the court in a fast-paced game, with Nets Get Physical coming away with an 18-8 result.

Glynneath Gal-Zelles and The Queen Bees couldn’t be separated in another exciting fixture, ending the game with a well-earned 12-12 draw after some fantastic play from both sides.

Over in Division 2, Block It Like It’s Hot and High Hoops played one of the closest games of the evening, with Block It Like It’s Hot narrowly edging it 10-9. Sweaty Betty’s and Glynneath Gazelles enjoyed another lively match, with Sweaty Betty’s finishing with a 19-6 result, while Spice Goals and Steel Town Shooters rounded off the evening with a high-scoring game ending 19-16 to Spice Goals.

A special mention goes to Caroline Jenkins from Sweaty Betty’s, who was voted this week’s Most Valued Player after a brilliant performance and great teamwork throughout the evening.

With only a couple of weeks left in the season, it’s been wonderful to see teams continuing to enjoy the social side of the league, build confidence on court, and support one another each week.
