Strong Start Continues in Week 2 of the Walsall Monday Netball League Powered by You Play Netball
Week 2 of the Walsall Monday Netball League brought another fantastic evening of competitive netball, with teams continuing to settle into the season and showcase their talent, teamwork, and determination. With every side eager to make an early impact, spectators were treated to a series of entertaining matches and some excellent individual performances.
Bibs And Balls and Court Red Handed got the evening underway with an exciting contest. Both teams displayed great commitment and effort throughout the match, producing some excellent passages of play. Bibs And Balls delivered a strong team performance, combining solid defensive work with confident attacking play, while Court Red Handed continued to battle hard and showed great resilience throughout.
Cheslyn Shooters produced another impressive display against Net Chicks. The match featured plenty of fast-paced netball, with both teams creating opportunities and demonstrating excellent teamwork. Cheslyn Shooters showed great consistency across the court, while Net Chicks worked tirelessly and continued to compete with determination from start to finish.
A special congratulations goes to Leah Saunders of Net Chicks, who was named Most Valuable Player of the Week. Despite her team's result, Leah delivered an outstanding individual performance, impressing with her skill, effort, and influence on the game. Her contribution was a fantastic example of the talent and commitment that can be found throughout the league.
The final fixture of the evening saw Cheslyn Chicas take on Netballerz. Netballerz produced a confident performance built on strong teamwork, communication, and movement around the court. Cheslyn Chicas continued to work hard throughout the game, demonstrating a positive attitude and determination that will serve them well as the season progresses.
With just two weeks played, the league is already showing signs of being another exciting and competitive season. Teams are beginning to build momentum, develop combinations, and gain confidence as they look to climb the standings in the weeks ahead.
The league would also like to thank all of our umpires for their dedication and commitment each week. Their contribution is invaluable in ensuring matches are played fairly, safely, and in the right spirit. We kindly remind all players and supporters to continue treating officials with respect at all times. A positive and supportive environment helps make the league enjoyable for everyone involved and reflects the values of the game.
As attention turns to Week 3, teams will be eager to build on their performances and continue their development.
