Exciting Action in Week 2 of the Nottingham Monday Netball League Powered by You Play Netball
Week 2 of the Nottingham Monday Netball League delivered another fantastic evening of netball, with teams continuing to build momentum and settle into the new season. Across the court, players showcased great teamwork, determination, and skill, creating an enjoyable evening of competitive action for everyone involved.
Chilwell Divas and Hoopsie Daisies got the night underway with an entertaining encounter. Both teams showed excellent commitment throughout the match, producing some impressive passages of play and working hard in both attack and defence. Hoopsie Daisies put together a strong team performance, demonstrating great communication and composure when it mattered most.
Chilwell Shooters and Net Club 7 Nottingham also served up an exciting contest. The match was played in great spirit, with both teams battling hard and creating numerous scoring opportunities. Chilwell Shooters showed excellent teamwork and consistency throughout the game, while Net Club 7 Nottingham continued to compete with determination and resilience.
Nova Stars produced another confident display against Chilwell Flames. Their movement around the court and strong defensive work helped them maintain control throughout the match. Chilwell Flames worked tirelessly and showed plenty of positive moments, continuing to develop and build valuable experience as the season progresses.
One of the standout fixtures of the evening saw The Fun Bunch take on Pink Ladies in a thrilling encounter. Both teams delivered an excellent performance, with the game remaining closely contested throughout. The match featured some fantastic netball, showcasing the quality and competitive spirit that makes the league so enjoyable to watch and be part of.
A special congratulations goes to Jenn Marson of Nova Stars, who was named Most Valuable Player of the Week. Jenn delivered an outstanding performance and played a key role in her team's success. Her effort, consistency, and influence on the court made her a worthy recipient of the award.
With only two weeks played, the season is already shaping up to be an exciting one. Teams are beginning to find their rhythm, new partnerships are developing, and every match is providing valuable opportunities to gain points and confidence.
The league would also like to extend its thanks to all of our umpires, whose dedication and commitment make the competition possible each week. We kindly remind all players and supporters of the importance of respecting officials at all times. Umpires play a vital role in ensuring matches are played fairly and safely, and their efforts are greatly appreciated by everyone involved.
