Strong Start to the Season in the Nottingham Monday Netball League Powered by You Play Netball

The new season of the Nottingham Monday Netball League got underway with an exciting evening of netball, as teams took to the court eager to make a positive start to their campaigns. Week 1 delivered plenty of competitive action, excellent teamwork, and impressive individual performances, setting the tone for what promises to be another fantastic season.

Hoop There It Is and Brave Hearts opened the season with an entertaining contest that showcased the enthusiasm and determination of both teams. Players worked hard across the court, producing some excellent passages of play and demonstrating the commitment that makes the league such an enjoyable competition. Brave Hearts put together a strong performance to begin their season positively, while Hoop There It Is showed plenty of promise for the weeks ahead.

Nottingham Ninjas made an impressive start to their campaign with a confident display against Hoop Hustlers. Their teamwork, communication, and movement around the court were evident throughout the match, helping them build momentum and make an early statement in the league. Hoop Hustlers continued to work hard and showed great spirit throughout the game, with plenty of positives to take forward into future fixtures.

A special congratulations goes to Tracey Barratt of Nottingham Ninjas, who was named Most Valuable Player of the Week. Tracey delivered an outstanding performance and played a key role in her team's success. Her skill, energy, and influence on the court made her a deserving recipient of the award and highlighted the quality of talent already on display this season.

While it is still very early days, Week 1 provided a glimpse of the exciting competition that lies ahead. Teams are already beginning to establish themselves, but with so much netball still to be played, there will be plenty of opportunities for every side to grow, improve, and challenge throughout the season.

The league would also like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our umpires for their dedication and support. Their commitment ensures that matches are played fairly, safely, and in the right spirit each week. We kindly remind all players and supporters to continue showing respect towards officials at all times. Their role is invaluable and helps create the positive and welcoming environment that makes the league enjoyable for everyone involved.
