Week seven of the Wrexham Monday Netball League brought another evening of enjoyable matches in the League division, with teams showing fantastic teamwork, determination, and support for one another throughout the night.
Defensive Divas and Wrex Factor shared a closely fought game, with Defensive Divas coming away with a 7-3 win thanks to some great teamwork and strong defensive play. Rulebreakers also had a positive evening on court, earning a 9-0 result against The Call-Out Queens, who continued to show plenty of effort and resilience from start to finish.
The standout match of the night was the exciting encounter between Red Dragons and Catch 22, with both teams playing out an entertaining 8-8 draw. It was a great example of the spirit of the league, with both sides battling hard while keeping the game enjoyable for players and spectators alike.
Jessica Edwards of Catch 22 was named player of the week after an excellent all-round performance. Her energy, movement, and contribution to her team made her a standout player on the night and highlighted the talent across the division.
As the season continues, the Wrexham Monday Netball League is proving to be a great mix of fun, teamwork, and quality netball. With every team continuing to improve and support one another, there’s lots to look forward to in the coming weeks.
