The eighth week of social netball at Congleton High School was a delightful spectacle of camaraderie, friendly competition and the timeless spirit of the sport. With welcoming smiles and high fives echoing through the court, players of all experience levels came together to enjoy a fantastic evening of netball.

In the first match of the evening, Bib Sisters and Goal Diggers showed us the true meaning of teamwork in action. The match ended with Bib Sisters leading with a score of 11-5, the commitment and sportsmanship displayed by both teams made this game a joy to watch.

The second game saw West Heath Wonders and Thursday Thunder take to the court. The Wonders completed the game with a score of 15-5. Despite the score difference, both teams played with positive energy and clearly had fun throughout the match.

Nets Top Models and Beartown Ballers engaged in an evenly matched game that was filled with nail-biting moments. The game ended with the Beartown Ballers finishing with a small lead of 12-11, showing the spirited nature of this friendly encounter.

Our special mention for the Most Valued Player goes to Neve Ransom from Goal Diggers. Neve’s infectious enthusiasm, nimble movement across the court and remarkable contributions to the game didn’t go unnoticed. Both teammates and opponents alike admired her vibrant spirit.

Looking ahead to Week 9, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. With only two weeks of matches left this season, we encourage anyone thinking about joining to come along and enjoy. Keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive environment has never been this fun. Come and be part of this lively Back to Netball community, because here, it’s not about winning or losing, it’s about playing the game and having fun.
