Uttoxeter Sunday Netball Update - Week 1

It was a great start to the season at the Uttoxeter Sunday Social Netball League, with a lovely evening of games, good energy, and plenty of smiles on court.

Hoopy Hour got off to a strong start with a 19–10 win over Give Us A Shot. It was a really enjoyable game, with both teams settling into their rhythm and showing great teamwork.

Pass Me The Wine also had a good first outing, finishing 20–3 against Nets In The City. Their passing and movement flowed nicely, but Nets In The City kept going and supported each other throughout.

Net Club Seven and The Raiders shared a lively match, with Net Club Seven coming away 26–10 winners. There was lots of effort from both sides, making it a great way to kick off their season.

Court Queens also started brightly with a 26–6 win over High Hoops. Their teamwork really shone through, while High Hoops kept their heads up and worked hard right until the final whistle.

A special mention goes to Abbie Hodgetts from The Raiders, who was named this week’s Most Valued Player. Her effort, determination, and all-round play really stood out on the night.

Overall, it was a fantastic first week, with everyone getting involved, supporting their teammates, and enjoying being back on court. Looking forward to seeing it all continue next Sunday!
