Another great evening of netball in the Banbury Thursday You Play Netball league, with teams bringing plenty of energy, teamwork, and competitive spirit to the courts.
Banbury AllStars and Shoot Happens kicked things off with a lively, end-to-end game. Both sides worked hard throughout, but Shoot Happens just edged ahead with a strong overall performance.
Dynamite Shooters were in top form on the night, putting together a really confident display against Shoot For It. Their sharp shooting and quick transitions made them difficult to stop and showed what they’re capable of when everything clicks.
Goal Shooters also had a great game against Pocket Rockets, combining solid defence with composed finishing to come away with a well-deserved win.
One of the standout matches of the evening came from Goals Aloud and Odd Balls. It was a close and exciting contest, with both teams battling hard from start to finish. Odd Balls managed to pull through in the end, but it was a fantastic effort from both sides.
A big shoutout goes to Niamh Marley, who picked up Player of the Week. Her impact on the court, smart decision-making, and all-round play made her a key part of her team’s success.
With each week, the league keeps delivering fun, fast-paced netball and great team spirit. Everyone will be looking forward to getting back on court next week and building on these performances!
