The evening was marked by some exceptional performances, with a mix of power play and strategy on display. The Banbury Shooters set the court ablaze, outscoring the Shooting Stars with a decisive 21-8 victory. Similarly, the Banbury Ballers showcased their prowess, toppling Spice Goals 15-10 in a thrilling face-off.

However, the thunderous applause of the night was stolen by the Net Ninjas, who delivered a devastating blow to the Banbury All Stars, sweeping the game with an astounding 36-0 victory. This commanding performance gave the Net Ninjas a powerful head start in the season’s rankings.

Net Set Go faced a defeat against the Eagles, losing 14-2. Nonetheless, their player, Izzy Hudson, earned the title of most valued player of the week, for her relentless efforts and sportsmanship on the court.

In the face-off between Net Chicks and Fireballs, the latter team emerged victorious, winning the match 23-12. Their dynamic play and unbeatable defence have set high expectations for their future games.

The engrossing first week of the season has set the stage for some intriguing matchups to come.
