Match Recaps

Week 16 of the Banbury Sunday Netball League saw another enjoyable evening of action at Dewey Sports Centre, with teams continuing to compete as the season approaches its conclusion.

The evening began with Banbury Shooters taking on Shooting Stars in a competitive fixture. Both teams demonstrated strong teamwork and commitment throughout the match, producing an entertaining contest and setting the tone for the evening.

BNT then faced Net Set Go in another closely contested game. Both sides worked hard across the court, showing determination and good organisation throughout. The match highlighted the competitive nature of the league and the progress teams have made over the course of the season.

Fireballs and Net Ninjas met in the third fixture of the evening. Both teams approached the game with enthusiasm and energy, contributing to an enjoyable contest played in excellent spirits. Strong teamwork and effort were evident from both sides throughout.

The final match saw Hoopz take on Net Chicks. Both teams battled hard from start to finish, demonstrating commitment and teamwork in another competitive fixture that rounded off the evening's action.

Player of the Week

A special mention goes to this week's Most Valued Player, whose work rate, movement, and positive attitude stood out throughout the evening. Their contribution on court was recognised by teammates and opponents alike and helped create the positive atmosphere that continues to define the league.

With Week 16 complete, teams now turn their attention to the final stages of the season. With only a limited number of fixtures remaining, every game presents another opportunity for players to compete, improve, and enjoy netball in a welcoming environment.

We look forward to welcoming all teams back for Week 17 and another evening of netball in Banbury.
