It was another heart-warming evening at Week 4 of social netball at Droitwich Spa High School & Sixth Form. The welcoming atmosphere was infectious as players of varying experience levels gathered for a fantastic night of netball. The evening was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the powerful spirit of the sport that transcended the court's boundaries, creating an environment of inclusivity and mutual respect.
The first match of the evening saw the Droitwich Diamonds and Droitwich Devils embody the essence of social netball. The Devils finished the game with an energetic display, scoring 29 points while the Diamonds added one point to their tally. The game was a vibrant showcase of teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship, with both teams playing with positive energy and enjoying every moment.
Following that, the Monday Misfits and Rogue Angels stepped onto the court. The Misfits concluded the match with 13 points to the Angels' 9, following an engaging display of netball. The friendly competition was filled with laughter and encouragement, highlighting the core values of social netball: fun, teamwork and inclusivity.
The Most Valued Player of the week was the vibrant Jemma Brogan from Rogue Angels. Her enthusiasm and movement around the court were infectious, and her positive contributions were appreciated by teammates and rivals alike.
As we look ahead to Week 5, we're buzzing with excitement for another evening of friendly social netball. It's not just about keeping active, but also about meeting new faces, and developing netball skills in a supportive environment. With only two weeks of matches left this season, we encourage anyone who's been thinking about joining us to come along and try social netball.
