As the whistle blew last night, the league of the Leicester Monday netball league kicked off its fresh season. The opening week brought a great mix of energy and teamwork, with matches highlighting the effort, organisation, and enthusiasm of all teams involved.

In the league line-up, Court Queens made a strong start with an 18–2 win over Spice Goals. Their teamwork and movement around the court helped them settle into the game well and build early momentum for the season. In another match, Ellesmere Elites recorded a 21–8 result against Nets Go Girls, showing good coordination and confidence throughout.

There were also positive moments for Nets Go Girls, with Jessica Pearson standing out for her determination and smart play. Her performance earned her the “Most Valued Player” of the week, reflecting her contribution and impact during the match.

Fast Break also opened their campaign with a 17–6 win over Pivot And Pass. Their quick pace and consistency gave them a solid platform to build on in the weeks ahead.

With the first round complete, teams have had a chance to find their rhythm and identify areas to build on.
