Leicester Monday night netball - week 4

Play in the Leicester Monday Netball League

Week 4 of the Leicester Monday Netball League brought another exciting evening of competitive action, with teams continuing to develop their form and strengthen their positions as the season progresses. The league featured a number of entertaining encounters, showcasing the skill, teamwork, and determination that have become a hallmark of the competition.

One of the standout fixtures of the evening saw Pivot And Pass take on Nets Go Girls in a closely contested match. Both teams approached the game with plenty of energy and commitment, creating an engaging contest from start to finish. Pivot And Pass were able to edge ahead at key moments and ultimately secured a 9-6 victory. The game highlighted the strengths of both sides, with excellent defensive efforts and patient attacking play contributing to a competitive and enjoyable match.

Despite being on the losing side, Nets Go Girls had plenty of positives to take from the performance. Hiral Vakharia was particularly impressive throughout the game and was deservedly recognised as this week's Most Valued Player. Her movement, awareness, and consistent contribution across the court stood out, while her determination and positive attitude made a significant impact for her team.

Elsewhere, Fast Break produced another strong performance as they recorded a 14-5 victory over Spice Goals. Fast Break moved the ball confidently and made the most of their opportunities in attack, allowing them to gradually build a comfortable advantage. Their teamwork and communication were evident throughout the match, while Spice Goals continued to battle hard and showed plenty of resilience against a well-organised opponent. As the season continues, Spice Goals will be looking to build on the encouraging aspects of their performance and convert those into future results.

The highest-scoring game of the night featured Ellesmere Elites and Court Queens. Both teams contributed to an entertaining contest, with Ellesmere Elites ultimately coming away with a 31-14 victory. The Elites displayed excellent attacking combinations and maintained a strong tempo throughout the match, helping them create a number of scoring opportunities. Court Queens continued to compete throughout the game and showed determination despite facing a challenging opponent. Their persistence and effort remained evident until the final whistle.

As the league table begins to take shape, every result is becoming increasingly important. Teams are continuing to grow in confidence, develop stronger partnerships on court, and refine their strategies with each passing week. The competitive nature of the league means that there is still plenty to play for, and no team can afford to take their foot off the pedal as the season moves forward.

Week 4 provided another excellent showcase of the quality present throughout the Leicester Monday Netball League. Players across all teams demonstrated great sportsmanship, commitment, and enthusiasm, contributing to a fantastic atmosphere throughout the evening. With several teams building momentum and others eager to climb the standings, the coming weeks promise more exciting fixtures and closely fought contests.

Congratulations to all teams who took part this week, and a special well done to Hiral Vakharia for earning the Most Valued Player award. We look forward to seeing how the season develops as teams return next week ready to continue their pursuit of valuable points and strong performances.
