Welshpool Sunday Netball news 2026-05-31

Netball fans were in for a treat on Sunday evening as the Welshpool Sunday League entered its third week, with the Premier League division serving up plenty of exciting action and impressive performances.

Ball Me Maybe continued their strong start to the season with a convincing 16-8 win over Hot Shots. Both teams brought plenty of energy to the court, but Ball Me Maybe's sharp shooting and quick movement helped them pull away and secure the victory.

Court Queens also enjoyed a successful night, producing a superb defensive performance against Hoops, I Did It Again. Their solid teamwork and determination saw them keep a clean sheet and come away with a 5-0 win.

The Goal Getters were another team in fine form, overcoming Net-Work It 13-5 in an entertaining contest. Their excellent teamwork and attacking play were on full display throughout the match as they claimed a well-earned victory.

A special mention goes to Steph Bowles of The Goal Getters, who was named Most Valuable Player of the Week. Steph delivered an outstanding performance, showing great skill, determination, and composure to help guide her team to success.

With just two weeks played, the league is already shaping up to be a fantastic season. Every team is showing plenty of passion and commitment, and there is still everything to play for as the competition continues.

Congratulations to all the teams who took part this week, and good luck to everyone ahead of the next round of fixtures. We can't wait to see what next Sunday brings!
