Welshpool Sunday Social Netball News 2026-05-24

The second week of the Welshpool Sunday Social Netball league took place last night and it was a great evening.

Teams were short on players, but everyone was such good sports, and stepped in to help other teams out and keep the night running.

A few reminders for all teams:

  1. Please confirm player availability as early as possible before fixtures. It makes it much easier to arrange replacements if needed. Teams can still invite friends, family or colleagues to play, and players can also request extra players in the Facebook Players Lounge.

  2. Each team has now received coloured bibs. Please remember to bring them to every match as they are now part of your team identity.

  3. Nails must be kept short (below the fingertip) or gloves must be worn, and all jewellery must be removed before matches. Officials will check this each week for player safety.

Despite the loss for Ball Me Maybe, the team shone through their star player, Olivia Spruce-Carter. Olivia was designated as the most valued player of the week, a testament to her exceptional skill and dedication on the court. Even amidst the defeat, she demonstrated unwavering spirit and outstanding performance, promising an exciting season ahead for her and her team.

Stay tuned, as the best of the league is yet to come!
