Week 2 of the Cwmbran Tuesday Netball League delivered another evening of competitive, high-energy matches, with teams starting to settle into the season and show what they’re capable of.
Worth A Shot continued to set the early pace with a strong 9–4 win over 7 Stars. It was a well-worked performance, with sharp passing, solid defensive pressure, and great movement throughout the court. Samantha White was a standout, earning Player of the Week thanks to her all-round impact and consistency, helping drive her team forward from start to finish.
Hoops I Did It Again also impressed in their matchup against Net On With It, coming away with an 8–4 victory. The game was closely contested early on, but Hoops I Did It Again gradually found their rhythm, linking up well in attack and staying composed under pressure to pull ahead in the later stages.
The Pocket Rockets produced one of the most exciting performances of the night, defeating Net It Be 11–2. Their fast pace and confident shooting made it difficult for their opponents to get a foothold in the game. Strong defensive efforts helped them regain possession quickly, allowing them to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
With two weeks now complete, the league table is beginning to take shape, but there’s still plenty of netball left to play. Teams will be looking to build on their performances, tighten up key areas, and carry momentum into Week 3 as the competition continues to heat up.
