The first week of the social netball season kicked off with an exhilarating evening at Havant Leisure Centre, with a welcoming atmosphere encouraging players of all experiences to enjoy their return to the game. The buzz of enthusiasm was infectious, as both seasoned and amateur players took to the court, bringing to life the spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie that defines our social netball community.
The Premier League saw two sets of matches that were invigorating displays of teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship. In the first match, The Bib Babes and Spice Goals showcased their skills, with Spice Goals finishing the game with a spirited score of 22-7. The positive energy from both teams was palpable, with each player demonstrating their love for the game and contributing to an enjoyable match, full of great spirit.
The second match saw Thunder Cats and Super Troopers take to the court. The game ended with Super Troopers posting a final score of 14-10. Again, the play was marked by commendable sportsmanship and terrific teamwork, proving that the heart of netball lies in unity and shared enthusiasm.
A special mention must go to the Most Valued Player of the week, Olivia Burnett-Armstrong from Thunder Cats. Olivia’s infectious enthusiasm, swift movement around the court, and commendable gameplay were highly appreciated by both her teammates and opponents alike. Her contribution to the friendly atmosphere of the game was indeed a highlight of the evening.
