Colchester Wednesday Netball League - Week 9

In the heart of Colchester, a lively buzz took over this Wednesday as our local netball enthusiasts gathered for another fun-filled round of Social Netball matches. As part of the ongoing Back to Netball programme, the players took to the court, not in the spirit of competition, but in the spirit of fun, fitness, friendship, and a shared love for the game.

The League group saw an array of exciting netball action. Just Go With It and Smack That Pass showcased fantastic teamwork, with our netballing buddies ending on an 8-5 scoreline. Meanwhile, Get Your Shot Together and Pass With Sass demonstrated remarkable camaraderie and sportsmanship, each side mirroring the other's energy to finish on a balanced score of 5-5.

Yet, the standout performance of the evening came from Shooting Stars and Fierce Flyers. The two teams lit up the court with their infectious enthusiasm, resulting in a flurry of goals that ended in an 18-8 score. The game was less about the tally and more about the sheer joy of playing, with every participant leaving the court with a beaming smile and a sense of accomplishment.

A special shout-out goes to Charlie Bailey from Cant Be Passed, who was highlighted as the player of the session. Charlie's positive influence on the court and their earnest commitment to the team's success truly encapsulated the values of Back to Netball. Their infectious energy further boosted the already cheerful atmosphere on the court.

In the end, it was not about who scored the most goals, but the spirit of participation and camaraderie that truly shone through. After all, in Back to Netball, every player is a star, every moment is a victory, and the only goal is to have fun!
