Week 7 of the Melton Mowbray Tuesday Netball delivered another enjoyable evening of competitive action, with teams showing great teamwork, determination and plenty of impressive play across the court.
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun produced a confident performance to secure an 18-6 win over Rule Breakers. Their strong attacking movement and organised defensive play helped them build momentum throughout the match and earn a well-deserved result.
The Mowbos also enjoyed a positive evening, overcoming Melton Mavericks 9-5 in a closely contested game. Both teams worked hard throughout, but The Mowbos’ teamwork and consistency helped them edge ahead.
Another entertaining fixture saw Total Meltdown claim a 9-6 victory over Never Give Up in one of the closest matches of the night. Both sides showed excellent effort and commitment, making it a competitive contest from start to finish.
In Formation also impressed with a strong 13-2 win against Give Us A Shot, demonstrating great movement and composure across the court.
There was individual recognition for Lorna Healey of The Fun Bunch, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week. Lorna’s excellent all-round performance, skill and positivity on court made her a standout player during the evening’s matches.
With every team continuing to develop and produce strong performances, Week 7 proved to be another exciting chapter in the Melton Mowbray Tuesday Netball season. As the competition continues, teams will be looking forward to building on their progress and creating even more exciting moments in the weeks ahead.
