Melton Mowbray Tuesday Netball Update 2nd June

Week 9 of the Melton Mowbray Tuesday Netball delivered another enjoyable evening of competitive netball, with teams showcasing great teamwork, determination, and skill across a series of closely contested matches.

One of the standout fixtures of the night saw Girls Just Wanna Have Fun take on Total Meltdown in a thrilling encounter. Both teams produced an excellent display of netball, with Total Meltdown narrowly securing a 9-8 victory in a match that remained in the balance until the final whistle.

Give Us A Shot also enjoyed a strong performance against The Mowbos, demonstrating excellent teamwork and consistent shooting to earn a 14-5 victory. Both teams showed great commitment throughout the match, contributing to an entertaining contest.

Despite the result, The Mowbos had plenty to celebrate as Georgia Freckingham was deservedly named Most Valued Player of the Week. Her outstanding contribution on court, combining impressive shooting with strong defensive play, made her a standout performer and a key influence for her team.

Elsewhere, In Formation continued their positive run with a well-earned 11-6 win over The Fun Bunch. Their teamwork and communication helped them secure the points in another competitive fixture.

We then saw Rule Breakers take on Never Give Up in a closely fought contest. Both sides battled hard throughout, but Rule Breakers edged the game 4-2 to finish the night with a victory.

As the season moves into its later stages, the competition continues to provide exciting matches and memorable performances. Every team is showing great commitment and enthusiasm, making for an enjoyable and unpredictable season. With plenty still to play for, players and supporters alike can look forward to more exciting netball action in the weeks ahead.
