This Tuesday marked the 10th week of exciting Social Netball matches in Melton Mowbray as part of the Back to Netball programme. The aim of the programme, beyond the scores and matches, is to support players in rediscovering the joy of netball while boosting fitness levels, forging new friendships and reigniting old ones.

Several friendly matches unfolded as teams showcased their sportsmanship and camaraderie. Melton Mavericks and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun had a friendly match with the latter team scoring 9 goals to Mavericks' 5. Meanwhile, Rule Breakers and In Formation had a spirited encounter, with In Formation netting 17 goals against Rule Breakers 4. The Fun Bunch had a good day on the court as well, scoring 10 goals against Give Us A Shot who managed to net 3 goals. The Mowbos and Total Meltdown also shared the court, with the former scoring 8 goals and the latter, 7.

The games were all about fun and fitness, and everyone was a star in their own right. However, this week's session had one standout, Hannah Graham from Never Give Up, who was highlighted as the player of the session for her positive contribution on the court. Her energy and enthusiasm were contagious and certainly caught the attention of everyone.

These friendly matches not only brought out the best in each player but also showcased the true essence of the Back to Netball programme. It's not about who scores the most goals or who 'wins the game'. It's about getting back into the game, enjoying the fun of the sport, and making friends along the way.
