The Abergavenny Thursday Netball season came to a lovely close with a fun and energetic final week of matches in the League division. Week 10 brought plenty of exciting moments, great teamwork, and fantastic sportsmanship from all teams involved.

Netty McNet Face took on The Net-Works in an entertaining game, with The Net-Works putting together a strong team performance to secure a 17-2 win.

Another memorable match saw Unstoppables face Welsh Rarebits. Both teams showed great determination and teamwork throughout the game, with Unstoppables finishing with a well-earned 17-8 victory after an impressive display on court.

There was also special recognition for Kate Screen from Netty McNet Face, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week. Her energy, skill, and positive attitude stood out, making a real impact for her team.

At the end of the season, Welsh Rarebits were crowned Premier League champions after a brilliant campaign. Finishing with 16 points and 8 wins, they consistently performed well throughout the season and were praised not only for their results, but also for their team spirit and sportsmanship.

The final week was a wonderful way to round off another enjoyable season of netball in Abergavenny. Congratulations to every team for their effort, enthusiasm, and support throughout the league — and a special well done to Welsh Rarebits on becoming this season’s champions.
