Abergavenny Thursday Week 5 - 23/4/26

Play in the Abergavenny Thursday you play netball league!

Week 5 of the Abergavenny Thursday Netball League brought another enjoyable evening of matches, with teams coming together to share some great netball, teamwork, and plenty of positive energy on court. It was lovely to see everyone supporting one another and making the most of the game.

In the League division, all teams showed great effort and commitment. The Headliners had a particularly strong game against Netty McNet Face, finishing 21–3. They moved the ball confidently and worked well as a unit, while Netty McNet Face kept their heads up and continued to push forward, showing resilience and determination throughout.

Another memorable match came from The Net-Works and Unstoppables, which was closely contested from start to finish. The Net-Works came away with an 8–5 win, but both teams played with great spirit and teamwork. It was a really enjoyable game to watch, with plenty of good passages of play and encouragement across the court.

A special highlight this week was Sarah Carrington from The Net-Works, who was named Most Valued Player. She made a real difference in her game with her awareness, movement, and support for her teammates, helping to keep the play flowing and positive.

The Headliners also stood out for their scoring this week, putting up 21 goals in their match and showing great confidence in attack. It was a strong team performance that reflected their growing rhythm together.

As we head into week 6, it’s great to see all teams continuing to develop, enjoy their netball, and build strong team connections. Looking forward to another fun and friendly evening of matches next week!
