Abergavenny Thursday Week 7 - 7/5/26

Week 7 of the Abergavenny Thursday Netball League brought another enjoyable evening of netball, with teams showing great teamwork, determination and plenty of encouraging play across the League division. As the season continues, the standard of netball and the positive atmosphere around the league keep growing each week.

The Unstoppables put in a strong team performance against Netty McNet Face, working well together across the court to secure a 12-1 win. Their movement, communication and defensive effort helped create plenty of opportunities throughout the game, while Netty McNet Face continued to show resilience and team spirit from the first whistle to the last.

Meanwhile, Headliners and Welsh Rarebits played out an entertaining and closely fought match that kept everyone engaged throughout. Both teams produced some great passages of play, but Headliners managed to come away with a 12-7 victory after a hard-fought contest.

A special mention goes to Amy Tredwell of Headliners, who was named this week’s Most Valued Player. Amy’s energy, defensive work and all-round contribution on court made a real difference for her team and highlighted the fantastic individual talent within the league.

As the league heads towards Week 8, teams will no doubt be looking forward to another evening of fun, teamwork and competitive but friendly netball. With plenty of positive performances already this season, there is lots for players to look forward to in the coming weeks!
