Kettering Sunday night netball - week 7

Play in the Kettering Sunday Netball League

Week 7 of the Kettering Sunday Netball League brought another enjoyable evening of netball, with teams continuing to demonstrate great teamwork, determination, and enthusiasm as the season progresses. With every fixture offering valuable points and opportunities to build momentum, players took to the court eager to produce strong performances and support their teams.

One of the standout results of the evening came from Ghostbusters, who delivered a confident and well-organised performance against Power Passers. Working effectively across the court, Ghostbusters combined solid defensive play with consistent attacking movement to secure a 17-1 victory. Their ability to maintain possession, create scoring opportunities, and support one another throughout the game played a key role in the result. Power Passers continued to show commitment and effort from start to finish and will be looking to take positives from the match as they prepare for the weeks ahead.

Elsewhere, Sunday Fundays enjoyed a successful outing against Hoop Stars, earning a 10-3 victory. Sunday Fundays displayed strong teamwork throughout the game, linking play well and making the most of their chances in front of goal. Their organised approach helped them build a lead while remaining disciplined defensively. Hoop Stars worked hard throughout the contest and showed plenty of determination, continuing to battle for every ball and looking to create opportunities whenever possible.

While the team performances were impressive, the evening's individual recognition went to Nyasha Kangausaru of Goal Diggers, who was named Most Valued Player of the week. Nyasha's contribution on court stood out thanks to her excellent movement, awareness, and positive influence on the game. Her ability to support teammates and make an impact in key moments highlighted the quality she brings to the Goal Diggers squad. The award is a fitting reward for a performance that caught the attention of players and spectators alike.

As the season continues, the League remains highly competitive, with teams showing steady improvement and growing confidence each week. Results such as Ghostbusters' victory and Sunday Fundays' strong performance demonstrate the depth of talent across the competition, while individual displays like that of Nyasha Kangausaru highlight the many players making valuable contributions to their teams.

With seven weeks now completed, attention is beginning to turn towards the latter stages of the season. Teams will be looking to build on recent performances, strengthen their positions in the League table, and continue developing both individually and collectively. The friendly yet competitive atmosphere that has characterised the Kettering Sunday Netball League continues to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

As we look ahead to next week's fixtures, there is plenty to be excited about. Every match presents an opportunity for teams to gain valuable points, improve their performances, and create more memorable moments on court. With players continuing to raise the standard week after week, supporters can look forward to another evening of entertaining netball action.

Congratulations to all teams who took part this week, and a special well done to Nyasha Kangausaru for being named Most Valued Player. We look forward to seeing what week 8 has in store as the Kettering Sunday Netball League season continues.
