Saffron Walden Sunday Netball League - Week 3

In an exhilarating display of skill and strategy, the third week of the Saffron Walden Sunday Netball league culminated in a series of breath-taking matches. The League division, which is always a hotbed of competition, did not disappoint.

The Saffron Sweeties secured a victory over the All Stars with a final score of 17-8. The Sweeties' prowess on court was hard to match, with their relentless offense and unyielding defense proving too much for the All Stars. Despite a hard-fought battle, the All Stars couldn't quite turn the tide, but they're expected to regroup and come back stronger in the forthcoming matches.

In another nail-biter, the Hoop Hustlers barely edged past the Walden Warriors with a final score of 7-6. With both teams neck and neck throughout the match, it was a thrilling spectacle that had everyone on the edge of their seats. The game was a testament to the competitive spirit and the high calibre of play that is synonymous with the League.

The highlight of the week was undoubtedly Bev Thompson from the Hoop Hustlers. Thompson was named the Most Valued Player for this week, and it is easy to see why. With outstanding performances in both matches, Thompson was instrumental in tipping the balance in the Hustlers' favour. Her agility, sharp shooting, and game-awareness were on full display as she led her team to a narrow victory.
