The sixth week of the social netball season at the Lord Butler Fitness & Leisure Centre was filled with the infectious enthusiasm of players from all experience levels. However, a few players were late in getting themselves organised so that their match could start on time, so please can all players get there a bit earlier and get organised so that your match starts on time. Each match needs to start and finish on time so please help us to get this organised now so that no one misses out on a full match time.
The first match saw All Stars and Walden Warriors battling it out in a spirited contest that ended with a score of 8-8. Both teams demonstrated a strong commitment to teamwork and sportsmanship, with the game being played in high spirits. The friendly energy on display was contagious, proving yet again why netball is such a beloved sport.
The Saffron Sweeties and Catch You Later also brought their 'A' game to the court, with Sweeties coming out on top with a score of 8-2. Despite the disparity in scores, it was clear that both teams thoroughly enjoyed the game, with their positive energy keeping everyone engaged throughout the match.
The final match was between Court Queens and Hoop Hustlers, ending with a 14-12 result to Hoop. The game was a testament to the spirit of fair play that defines our social netball community. Both teams showcased great determination and sportsmanship that made it a joy to watch.
A special mention goes to Lauren Bayford of All Stars, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Lauren's infectious enthusiasm, impeccable movements across the court, and positive contributions were appreciated by both teammates and opponents alike. Her fantastic performance was a shining example of the friendly, inclusive, and uplifting spirit of social netball.
