Play in the Merthyr Tydfil Thursday you play netball league

Greetings from Merthyr Tydfil! The wonderful world of social netball came alive once again last Thursday at Merthyr Leisure Centre for Week 3 of the season. The air was filled with laughter, cheers, and an infectious sense of camaraderie as players of all experience levels took to the court, from netball newbies to seasoned pros. It was indeed a warm, friendly evening as we watched local teams from the Premier League play their hearts out, and revel in the sheer joy of the sport.

The first match of the evening was a lively show between Purple Reign and Cherry Bombs. Both teams demonstrated remarkable teamwork, commitment, and a whole lot of positive energy! Purple Reign managed to score 11 goals against Cherry Bombs' 9, with every goal scored being celebrated with cheering from both sides.

Next up, The Ballerz and Net 6 & Chill played an equally enjoyable game, with Net 6 & Chill finishing the game with a score of 11-9. The commitment from both teams was infectious, with players hustling through the court, the ball moving swiftly from hand to hand, and an amazing display of sportsmanship throughout.

In the final showdown of the evening, Hoops I Did It Again met A Little Rusty on the court, and what a game it was! A Little Rusty concluded the game with an impressive score of 21-5. While scores may vary, the spirit in which the game was played was commendable, with both teams leaving the court beaming with smiles.

A special mention has to be given to the Most Valued Player of the week - Tegan Davis from The Ballerz. Tegan displayed incredible enthusiasm and drive on the court, her swift movement around the court and positive energy was admired by both teammates and opponents alike. Her contribution to the game was truly appreciated and undoubtedly uplifted the evening's play.

As we look ahead to Week 4, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. We invite everyone to come down and participate or cheer from the sidelines. It's not just about keeping active, it's about meeting new people, developing your netball skills, and being part of a supportive community.
