Week nine of the Moulton Monday Netball League delivered another fantastic evening of competitive action, with teams continuing to raise the standard as the season moves towards its latter stages. The latest round of fixtures saw plenty of energy, teamwork, and determination on display, with every team battling hard and producing some entertaining netball throughout the evening.
Queen Bees were one of the standout performers of the week as they secured an impressive 17-5 victory over Goal Diggers. From the opening whistle, Queen Bees looked sharp and confident, moving the ball quickly through the court and creating consistent attacking opportunities. Their defensive pressure also played a key role in the result, forcing turnovers and limiting Goal Diggers’ chances to settle into the game. Goal Diggers continued to work hard throughout the match and showed great resilience despite the scoreline, never giving up and continuing to compete until the final whistle.
Passalona also enjoyed a successful evening with a strong 15-9 win over Pass N Pivot in a fast-paced and entertaining encounter. Both teams showed excellent movement and teamwork, but Passalona managed to build momentum with some well-worked attacking passages and composed finishing under pressure. Their ability to stay organised defensively while remaining clinical in attack helped them maintain control during key moments of the match. Pass N Pivot battled hard throughout and showed plenty of quality of their own, making it an enjoyable contest for everyone watching.
Hot Shots were another side to impress this week as they claimed a 12-5 victory against Rebound Rebels. Hot Shots demonstrated excellent communication and discipline across the court, combining accurate shooting with strong defensive performances to secure the win. Rebound Rebels continued to fight throughout the game and produced several positive moments, showing great effort and determination against strong opposition.
Despite her team’s result, Charlotte Holmes of Rebound Rebels produced a standout individual performance and was deservedly named the Most Valued Player of the week. Charlotte impressed with her work rate, movement, and composure on the ball, while also encouraging and supporting her teammates throughout the match. Her attitude, energy, and consistency made her one of the evening’s standout performers and highlighted the important role she continues to play for Rebound Rebels.
