Play in the Moulton Monday Netball League
Week 3 of the Moulton Monday Netball League took place at Moulton School and Science College, with teams returning to the courts for another evening of competitive and enjoyable netball. As the season begins to take shape, teams are continuing to develop their combinations and build momentum, resulting in a series of closely contested and entertaining matches.
The first game of the evening saw Rebound Rebels take on Passalona in what proved to be the closest fixture of the night. Rebound Rebels secured a narrow 9-8 victory after a hard-fought contest between two evenly matched sides. Both teams demonstrated excellent teamwork and determination throughout the game, with neither side willing to give an inch. The match remained competitive from start to finish and provided an excellent opening to the evening's action.
The second fixture featured Goal Diggers against Pass N Pivot. Pass N Pivot produced a strong all-round performance to record a 21-5 victory. Their movement and passing enabled them to create a number of scoring opportunities, which they converted effectively throughout the match. Goal Diggers continued to work hard and maintained a positive attitude despite the scoreline, showing great commitment and sportsmanship from the opening centre pass to the final whistle.
The final game of the night saw Hot Shots face Queen Bees. Hot Shots delivered a solid team performance to claim an 18-8 win and continue their strong start to the season. Queen Bees remained competitive throughout and continued to create opportunities in attack, while Hot Shots made the most of their chances to secure the victory. Both teams played the game in an excellent spirit and rounded off the evening with another entertaining contest.
This week's Most Valued Player award goes to Charlotte Holmes of Rebound Rebels. Charlotte impressed with her energy, movement and influence throughout her team's victory. Her consistent effort and positive contribution on court played an important role in the match and earned recognition from players across the league.
With three weeks of the season now completed, teams are beginning to establish themselves and every point is becoming increasingly important. The standard of play continues to improve each week, and the league remains a great opportunity for players of all abilities to enjoy competitive netball in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Attention now turns to Week 4, where teams will once again take to the court looking to build on their performances and pick up valuable results. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another evening of netball at Moulton School and Science College.
