Peterborough Sunday Week 1 - 10/2/26

The Peterborough Sunday Netball League got underway this week, with teams returning to court for an enjoyable evening of netball and a great start to the new season. Players and supporters were excited to see the teams back in action, with plenty of teamwork, energy and positive spirit on display throughout the night.

What A Catch and Blue Stars opened the evening with a closely played match, with What A Catch coming away with a 9-5 win. Both teams worked hard throughout the game and showed great effort and determination from start to finish.

Shot Callers also put in a strong team performance against Chaos In Trainers, securing a 15-7 victory. Their communication and teamwork helped them settle into the new season well, while Chaos In Trainers continued to show plenty of commitment and enthusiasm on court.

The Most Valued Player award this week went to Gya Niyazi from Fast And Fierce. Gya impressed with a positive attitude, consistent play and excellent support for teammates throughout the evening.

With the season only just beginning, there is still plenty of netball to come and lots of opportunities for teams to grow and develop together over the coming weeks. It was a fantastic opening night, and everyone is looking forward to seeing how the season unfolds.
