Week 7 of the Peterborough Sunday Netball League brought another fun and engaging evening of netball, with all teams showing great effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the matches.
Blue Stars and What A Catch played out a closely fought game, with both teams evenly matched across the court. The score remained tight for most of the match, reflecting strong defensive work and careful build-up play from both sides. In the end, What A Catch edged ahead to take a 5–4 win, but it was a great example of how evenly contested and enjoyable the league games can be.
Shot Callers had a positive run against Cherry Bombs, finishing 8–2. Shot Callers linked up well through the court, with consistent passing and good movement creating opportunities in attack. Cherry Bombs kept their heads up throughout, continuing to work hard and support each other, showing great determination and team spirit.
Chaos In Trainers took on Fast And Fierce in another energetic match. Chaos in Trainer took the win in this match with a final scoreline of 14–7. Chaos In Trainers stayed committed and kept pushing right until the final whistle, contributing to an entertaining and well-contested game.
This week’s Player of the Week goes to Davina Wright from What A Catch. Her awareness on court, quick reactions, and ability to support both in attack and defence played an important role in her team’s performance.
