Week 3 Brings Another Enjoyable Round in the Nottingham Thursday Netball League

It was another positive and well-contested evening in the Nottingham Thursday netball league, with all teams showing great effort, teamwork, and a clear improvement as the season begins to take shape. The atmosphere around the court continues to build each week, with players supporting one another and enjoying some competitive but friendly matches.

Cosmic Creepers 9–4 Amazeballs
Cosmic Creepers produced a calm and organised performance, working the ball effectively through the court and maintaining control for much of the game. Amazeballs showed determination throughout and kept pushing, but Cosmic Creepers’ consistency helped them secure a deserved win.

Bibberinos 14–7 Trent Tricksters
Bibberinos found a strong rhythm early on and carried that momentum through the match, showing good movement and communication in attack. Trent Tricksters continued to battle and showed some promising passages of play, demonstrating their potential as they continue to grow into the season.

Net Assets 11–8 Notts Netters
This was a closely fought game from start to finish, with both teams matching each other across the court. There were plenty of well-worked passages and defensive efforts on both sides, making it an enjoyable contest to watch. Net Assets managed to edge ahead in the later stages, but both teams can take plenty of positives from their performances.

MVP of the Week: Ellie Hamilton-Miller (Trent Tricksters)
Ellie delivered a strong all-round performance, showing great awareness, movement, and composure in possession. Her ability to link play and maintain consistency throughout the game made her a standout player this week, and she continues to be an important contributor for Trent Tricksters.

As the league progresses, it’s clear that teams are beginning to settle, build partnerships, and develop their style of play. With each week bringing closer contests and improving performances, there’s plenty to look forward to as the season continues.
