WEEK 5 OF THE NOTTINGHAM THURSDAY NETBALL LEAGUE

Week five of the Nottingham Thursday netball league brought another enjoyable evening of competitive matches, with teams across the League continuing to build confidence, improve teamwork, and enjoy their netball in a positive and supportive environment. The standard of play continues to develop each week, with every team contributing to an entertaining evening on court.

The opening fixture saw The Bibberinos secure a closely contested 5-3 win over Amazeballs. Both teams worked hard throughout the match, showing strong defensive play and good teamwork across the court. It was an evenly balanced game that remained competitive from start to finish.

One of the standout matches of the evening saw Trent Tricksters earn a narrow 14-13 victory against Notts Netters. Both sides produced some excellent passages of play, creating an exciting and closely fought contest throughout the game. The effort and determination shown by both teams made it one of the night’s most entertaining fixtures.

Elsewhere, Net Assets recorded a 7-4 win over Hoopsy Daisy. Net Assets showed good organisation and consistency across the court, while Hoopsy Daisy continued to compete positively and create opportunities during the match.

There were also strong individual performances across the evening, with Lisa Jones from Notts Netters being named Player of the Week. Despite the close result, her contribution, effort, and teamwork stood out and helped make the game such an enjoyable contest.

Across the League, teams continue to improve week by week, building stronger partnerships on court and developing confidence in their play. The league remains a welcoming and supportive environment where players can enjoy friendly yet competitive netball each week.

As the season progresses, there is still plenty to look forward to, with teams aiming to build on their performances and continue enjoying their time on court. The upcoming fixtures promise more closely contested and enjoyable matches in the weeks ahead.
