Netball Season Opener Produces Exciting Results

GLOUCESTER, UK – The much-anticipated Gloucester Sunday Netball League got underway with an enjoyable opening week of matches, offering a great start to the new season. The evening featured a number of competitive games, with teams showing strong effort and enthusiasm as they began their campaigns.

In the first match of the night, Throw And Go faced Ball Busters in a closely contested game. Ball Busters edged the result with a narrow 5–4 win, with both teams showing determination and promising signs for the weeks ahead.

Next, Pitch Slap delivered a confident performance to secure a 21–11 victory over Ball Of Fame. Their consistent shooting and teamwork helped them build a steady lead as the match progressed.

One of the standout games of the evening came between Net Ninjas and Goal Diggers. In an entertaining and high-scoring contest, Goal Diggers came away with a 16–14 win. Both teams played with great energy, making it an enjoyable match for all involved.

This week’s most valued player was Emma Walker from Net Ninjas. Despite a narrow result for her team, Emma’s performance stood out, showing great skill, work rate, and a positive presence on court.
