Week two of the Gloucester Sunday netball league brought a range of well-contested games, with teams showing good effort and teamwork across the board. It was another positive round of fixtures, reflecting the competitive spirit of the league.

Ball Busters and Goal Diggers faced off in an evenly matched game, with Goal Diggers coming away with a 14–11 win. Ball Busters put in a strong performance, with Caitlin Monkman making a notable contribution that saw her named the week’s most valued player.

Ball of Fame and Net Ninjas also played out a very close contest, with Ball of Fame just edging the result 11–10. Both teams demonstrated solid defence and attacking play, making it an enjoyable game to watch.

In the final match, Pitch Slap secured a 20–9 win over Throw And Go. Their consistent passing and organised defence helped them maintain control throughout the game.

As the season continues, the Gloucester Sunday netball league is shaping up to be an engaging and competitive campaign. Teams are settling into their rhythm, and there are plenty of encouraging performances to build on in the weeks ahead.

Caitlin Monkman’s performance this week stood out, reflecting both her individual effort and the positive approach of the Ball Busters team.

With many games still to come, the league looks set to continue providing enjoyable and competitive netball each week.
