Worcester Monday Netball Update 8th June

Week 5 of the Worcester Monday Netball brought another fantastic evening of netball, with teams across both Division 1 and Division 2 delivering exciting matches and showcasing great teamwork, determination, and skill.

In Division 1, Court Queens continued their strong form with a 17-11 victory over Hot Shots. Both teams produced some excellent netball, with Court Queens securing the points to maintain their position near the top of the standings.

Goal Bladders and Manic Mondays played out a closely contested match, with Goal Bladders earning a hard-fought 9-7 win. It was an entertaining game throughout, with both sides demonstrating great commitment and competitive spirit.

Worcester Sauces enjoyed a successful evening against Wildcats, recording a 22-5 victory. Their strong teamwork and attacking play helped them secure the result, while Wildcats continued to battle hard and gain valuable experience as the season progresses.

Division 2 also provided plenty of excitement. No Direction edged a competitive encounter against The Oak Apple Catchers, winning 14-12 in a match that remained close from start to finish.

Weakest Link secured an 11-6 victory over Perdiswell Shooters, with both teams showing determination and effort throughout the game.

Meanwhile, Worcester Ladies and Worcester Wonders could not be separated, sharing the points after an evenly matched and entertaining 10-10 draw.

A special congratulations goes to Katie Deakin of The Oak Apple Catchers, who was named Most Valuable Player of the Week. Katie's outstanding performance, energy, and contribution on court earned her well-deserved recognition and highlighted the quality of talent on display across the league.

As the season continues, both divisions remain full of competitive fixtures, impressive performances, and plenty of opportunities for teams to build momentum. Congratulations to all players and teams for another enjoyable week of netball, and we look forward to seeing what Week 6 has in store.
